Famous cruise vessel for a family-run company

New generators and a high-voltage system

A cruise vessel, which is famous as the setting for the long-running German TV series, required IMO Tier III modifications. C-Job supported the vessel managers to ensure the ship is compliant for cruising in the Norwegian heritage fjords and the Mediterranean.

C-Job advised the client on revising, revitalizing and upgrading the power generation setup, and was responsible for the structural and mechanical engineering involved in the integration of IMO Tier III-compliant modifications.

This included a MAN SCR exhaust system and urea injection unit for the main engines which reduces NOx emissions, the replacement of auxiliary generators with new Tier III-compliant generators, and a high-voltage system for shore power connection. All installation work was completed in Amsterdam while the vessel was in port, with C-Job providing onsite assistance and building supervision.

The result is a TIER III-compliant power generation setup in a vessel originally built in 1990s. The upgrade our customer to operate according to the latest environmental requirements in the Norwegian heritage fjords and beyond.
